This Privacy Policy explains how Avalon Map Checker ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use the app. Avalon Map Checker is an unofficial, fan-made tool for Albion Online players and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sandbox Interactive GmbH.

Information We Collect

Avalon Map Checker does not require you to create an account, and does not directly collect or transmit any personal information such as your name, email address, or location.

The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Recent searches — the map names you've recently searched are saved on your device (using local storage) so you can quickly access them again. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us or any third party.

Advertising

Avalon Map Checker displays ads through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service provided by Google. To deliver and measure ads, Google AdMob may collect and process certain information, which can include:

• Device identifiers (such as the Advertising ID)
• IP address and approximate location
• Device information (type, OS version)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

Network & Connectivity

The app checks whether your device has an active internet connection (WiFi or mobile data) so that maps and ads can load correctly. This check only reads your device's connection status — it does not collect or transmit any data about you.

Permissions

The app requests the following Android permissions, used strictly for the purposes below:

• Internet access — required to load ads and app data.
• Network state access — used to detect whether you're connected to WiFi or mobile data.

Children's Privacy

Avalon Map Checker is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade any user data. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, described above, which operates under its own privacy policy.

Your Choices

You can clear your locally stored recent searches at any time from within the app. You can also opt out of personalized advertising through your device's ad settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads on most Android devices), or via Google Ads Settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
